Play Octopus provides tablets to top-tier rideshare drivers. Riders enjoy games, prizes, driver information, and other content. The tablets also run ads, which allow us to provide the tablets for free and even compensate our drivers.

What can riders expect?

Riders love the fact they can play free games and win prizes during their trip. They also learn more about their drivers, which sparks friendlier conversations. The results show in higher tips and better ratings. Busy riders can easily put the tablet to sleep so as not to interrupt with work calls, cat naps, etc.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. We are able to provide free tablets to top-tier drivers by showing short advertisements in between games. If you stop driving rideshare, we simply ask that you return the tablet to us free of charge.

How do I earn money?

We reward you for driving and having passengers play the tablet, as well as pay referral bonuses for referring new drivers to our network. What if the tablet is stolen?

Tablet theft is extremely rare. In the event a tablet is stolen, simply let our friendly support team know and we’ll provide a replacement tablet free of charge.

Does it matter which rideshare service I drive for?

Nope, it doesn’t matter to us if you drive for UBER®, Lyft® or any other rideshare service!

How do I qualify?

Drivers qualify for a free Octopus tablet if they are regularly driving rideshare trips. We ask that our drivers average more than 100 trips per month and have driven for at least two months.

Where can I get a tablet?

What is the Octopus Driver App?

The Octopus Driver app is the mobile application version of your existing driver dashboard website. Enjoy the same functionality as your web dashboard plus a few new features! New App Features:

– Login with Face ID or Fingerprint

– Ability to change your contact information (email, phone number, etc.) Other Key Features:

– Check your points on the go!

– Cash out your earnings to debit card, bank account or e-gift card.

– Set your account to “away” mode for vacations and breaks.

– Update your tablet profile shown to riders and much more!

Do I need to use a text verification code to sign in like I do for the website?

You will be asked to use a text verification code the first time you sign into the app, before you are asked if you would like to use your face or fingerprint to login the next time. If you enable this feature, you will not need to use a text verification code to login.

Can the app do everything the Driver Dashboard can do?

Yes! The Octopus Driver App has all the same functionality of the web Dashboard.

Does the app change how I earn points with Octopus or how my account functions?

What is the difference between High Score vs. Top Score?

High Score means your score is ranked in the Top 10 and you show off your score by adding your initials on the leaderboard.

Top Score means that you have a high score and you are ranked #1 on the Top 10. If you have a Top Score, you have a chance to win $25!

How do I win $25?

Get a Top Score on any game on Octopus. We will ask for you for your phone number after getting the Top Score to text you your prize. *We will only text you if you win. If your score is still ranked #1 at the end of the day, at 11:59:59 PST, we will text you a $25 Amazon gift card.
